Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were in good spirits as they appeared to jet off on holiday together, ahead of the latter’s unveiling at the club.
The England international has effectively completed his £72.9m transfer to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund, with an announcement to confirm the deal coming this week.
Twenty-one-year-old Sancho underwent a medical at Carrington on Tuesday, which passed without a hitch, and had the obligatory promo pictures taken that are customary for any new addition.
On Thursday, United unveiled their new home strip for the 2021/22 season and Sancho’s announcement is next on the agenda.
However, following his exploits with the Three Lions at the European Championship, Sancho is set for three weeks holiday and the earliest date for his United bow is the final pre-season game ahead of the new campaign against Everton on August 7th.
A full week of training with United will then follow, ahead of a potential debut in the opening game of the new Premier League season against Leeds United.
Fans eager to see more of Sancho have at least been treated to a video, with the ex-Manchester City youngster pictured on a private jet alongside Rashford.
The video shows the pair singing along to music together, but the bigger picture is the representation of the off-field relationship that Sancho already has with Rashford.
Experiences at Euro 2020 will only have increased the bond between the pair, who suffered racial abuse, along with Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, having missed penalties in Sunday’s loss to Italy.
Sancho will have a number of familiar faces waiting for him at United from international duty, including Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
