Manchester United have reportedly offered Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane a five-year deal, as the Red Devils attempt to lure him away from Santiago Bernabeu.
Manchester United are allegedly still firmly in the race for Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic.
The 23-year-old star enjoyed a strong 2020-21 season for his Italian club, making 37 appearances across all competitions, including 34 in Serie A, where the defender contributed three goals.
Milenkovic’s current contract with Fiorentina is due to expire next summer, though, and it doesn’t appear that he’ll be penning an extension, making an exit likely this summer.
Manchester United’s interest in the Serbia international had said to have cooled, but according to a recent report from La Nazione, the 20-time English champions are still keen on a deal for the player.
The report says that AC Milan are also keeping tabs on developments, while West Ham United could also reportedly compete for his signature during this summer’s transfer market.
Milenkovic – recently linked with both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal – has made 133 appearances for his side since arriving from Partizan back in 2017.
In other news, Kieran Trippier has allegedly decided to stay with Atletico Madrid beyond the summer transfer market.
Manchester United have reportedly identified the England international as a perfect signing in the upcoming market, as Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Trippier doesn’t want to leave Wanda Metropolitano this summer, as he’s enjoying playing under Los Rojiblancos’ manager Diego Simeone.
