Cristiano Ronaldo possible Manchester United debut vs Newcastle — how to watch and get tickets

Cristiano Ronaldo is a Manchester United player once again after a shocking move from Juventus was agreed on Friday.

Ronaldo played for United between 2003-2009 and won three Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the two League Cups, before leaving for Real Madrid where he would go on to become one of the greatest goalscorers of all-time.

But after three years with Juventus in Serie A, Ronaldo made the decision to leave and Manchester United have brought him ‘home’ back to Old Trafford.

Fans are excited to see him pull on the famous red shirt once again, but when can they expect that to happen? MEN Sport has got you covered.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play against Wolves?

Short and sweet, the answer is no. Ronaldo isn’t officially a United player yet with the deal still subject to personal terms, visa and medical to do so the trip to Wolves has come too early for him this time.

When will Ronaldo make his debut?

United’s next fixture after the Wolves game is a home game against Newcastle and that will likely be the first time we see Ronaldo at Old Trafford in 2021.

Ronaldo will go away with the Portuguese national team for games against Republic of Ireland, Qatar and Azerbaijan before returning to Manchester. So long as he isn’t forced to quarantine, then his debut will likely come on September 11th against the Magpies

United will have a rare Saturday 3pm kick-off against Newcastle, which means the game won’t be televised live in the UK due to the return of the national blackout following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initial release of tickets for this game have now been sold. There will be a number of additional releases in the lead up to the game — which will be sold exclusively online to Official Members only. So you’ll have to wait for Match of the Day on Saturday night for the highlights if you don’t get your hands on them.
