Bruno Fernandes is eager for Wolverhampton Wanderers playmaker Ruben Neves snub interest from Arsenal and sign for Manchester United ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The Portuguese pair have played alongside each other for their national team for the past four years, making a combined nine games at this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament.
After spending the last four campaigns with Wolves, three of those in the English top-tier, Neves is believed to depart Molineux this window if his £35m valuation is met.
The Red Devils are not the only side to have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old playmaker, with domestic rivals the Gunners also apparently interested in bringing him on board.
However, talkSPORT reports that the 20-times English champions have an advantage as Fernandes is pushing Neves to join him at Old Trafford.
Neves featured 39 times for Wanderers in all competitions last campaign and played a direct part in six goals.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Man Utd are eyeing a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey who has two years left on his current deal and rumours from Germany claim that he will depart from the club this summer.
